Independence Day Celebration at PGP Institute of Allied Health Sciences
PGP Institute of Allied Health Sciences celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great patriotic spirit and enthusiasm, as part of the common Independence Day celebration of PGP Educational Institutions.
The celebration commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Correspondent, Mr. M. Ganapathy (IFS) Retd., followed by the National Pledge. The students participated enthusiastically in the March Past, demonstrating discipline, unity and national pride.
The programme featured inspiring Tamil and English speeches by the students, a vibrant patriotic dance, and a meaningful Tamil Kavithai, creating a strong sense of patriotism among the gathering.
Dr. K. Periyasamy, Dean – Academic Affairs, along with the Principals of the PGP institutions, addressed the gathering on the significance of Independence Day and highlighted the importance of understanding real freedom. The students were reminded that true freedom comes with responsibility, discipline, integrity, respect for others and a commitment to serving society and the nation.
As part of the celebration, an Oath-Taking Ceremony was conducted under the guidance of Dr. K. Periyasamy, Dean – Academic Affairs. The students pledged to uphold the values of patriotism, discipline, integrity and social responsibility.
The celebration concluded with a renewed spirit of patriotism and a commitment to becoming responsible healthcare professionals and responsible citizens of India.
